WHO INVENTED LAVA LAMPS?

A lava lamp is a great decor for almost any cozy home. It perfectly complements the interior and easily attracts attention, especially in subdued lighting. Even the simplest lava lamp can look amazing and be a lot of fun looking at the play of light inside it.

Lava lamps were invented by British accountant Edward Craven-Walker in the mid-20th century. The man who invented the lava lamp got his inspiration from watching a homemade egg timer.

The classic lava lamp consists of a halogen lamp and a container of clear mineral oils and a small amount of paraffin. As long as the bottom of the glass or plastic container is heated, heated wax travels beautifully along it.

You have to keep in mind that it takes some time for the wax to get warm enough to lift the drops. At room temperature, you usually have to wait 30 to 45 minutes before the full effect of the beauty of the lava lamp comes.
